Giving Guide: Organizations We Love to Support

Giving the gift of charity goes beyond words. There are so many wonderful organizations out there doing incredible work that is making a big difference in the world. If you are looking for an organization to donate to in your own name or in someone else’s, we are sharing 5 that mean a lot to us.

  1. One Girl Revolution. Founded by our dear friend, Kate Milligan, One Girl Revolution is a nonprofit multimedia platform dedicated to highlighting the stories of everyday women and girls who are changing the world through their lives. Through inspiration, education, publicity, support, and empowering women and girls, One Girl Revolution helps women and girls chase their dreams and make a difference in the world. A donation will help them continue their work to elevate women’s stories, voices, and world-changing initiatives. You can donate HERE.

  2. Bras for a Cause. Founded by Mel C’s niece, Shannon Watson (whom has since passed), this organization has shipped more than 500,000 bras to women in need, both breast cancer survivors and women in distress. Donations have allowed them to supply needed post-mastectomy bras, wigs, and prosthesis to women of all sizes. Their mission is to reshape breast cancer survivors’ lives one bra and at time. You can donate HERE.

  3. Scleroderma Research Foundation. In loving memory of a true scleroderma champion and our beloved friend, Bob Saget, this organization is America’s largest nonprofit investor in scleroderma research and devotes a greater percentage of its annual budget to scleroderma research than any other. Scleroderma is a group of rare diseases that more often affect women. While symptoms vary, it commonly affects the skin and can cause inflammation throughout the body. Donations help drive the discovery of new treatments and bring them closer to a cure. You can donate HERE.

  4. Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. LLS is the largest nonprofit funder of leading-edge research for every type of blood cancer, including lymphoma, leukemia, myeloma, and other rare types. The LLS team oversees the organization’s research agenda and manages their portfolio to support cutting-edge research for these types of cancer.  A donation will help them continue to do so. You can donate HERE.

  5. My Saint My Hero Bracelets. Designed by our friends Caitlin and John Stamos, My Saint My Hero are bracelets with a mission to empower global communities through meaningful work and remind us that we are loved. Their pieces come from communities around the world that are infused with love and prayer. Each time you purchase a woven piece, you are empowering women through meaningful work. You can shop HERE.
